Online therapy, also known as telehealth, is a convenient way to receive mental health support through secure video calls. All you need is a device with a camera and microphone, along with a private space where you feel comfortable talking. Sessions are just as effective as in-person therapy and offer the flexibility to attend from anywhere.
If you're experiencing difficult emotions, going through a challenging time, or simply want to understand yourself better, therapy can be beneficial. You don't need to be in crisis to seek support—many people come to therapy for personal growth, self-discovery, and to develop healthier coping strategies.
The length of therapy varies depending on your needs and goals. Some people find value in short-term therapy (8-12 sessions) focused on specific issues, while others prefer longer-term work for deeper exploration and personal growth. We'll work together to determine the right approach for you.
Yes, online therapy is confidential. I use HIPAA-compliant video platforms to ensure your privacy is protected. Everything we discuss in therapy is confidential, with limited exceptions required by law. We'll review confidentiality in detail during our first session.
Our first session is about getting to know each other. I'll ask questions to understand your background, what brings you to therapy, and your goals. This is also your opportunity to ask me anything and see if we feel like a good fit. There's no pressure—if it doesn't feel right, I'm happy to help you find another therapist.
I accept select insurance plans. Please visit the Services page or contact me for a complete list of accepted insurance providers. If I don't accept your insurance, I can provide you with a superbill that you may be able to submit to your insurance for out-of-network reimbursement.
I'm happy to answer any questions you might have before starting therapy. Reach out and let's talk.
